Cooley Mountains Turf Scene Photograph

Conor McEneaney is a skilled photographer and a native of Dundalk, Co. Louth.

Conor has always been interested in creative arts in one form or another, but is particularly drawn to visual art in the form of photography. He is captivated and inspired by the ever changing coastline and scenery of Ireland.

The Cooley Mountains are on the Cooley Peninsula in Northeast Louth in Ireland. The mountains are the mythical home of Hurling as told in the story of 'The Brown Bull of Cooley' when Setanta travelled through the mountains hitting his sliotar. This feat is celebrated annually in the All Ireland Poc Fada championships. As well as being famous for it's rich history, it's also the home of many bog-lands where farmers cut and dry out turf logs to sell locally.
